Sweet Surprise

Hi everyone! It’s Jeannie (InsideoutJeans) on the blog today to share a card I created using Trinity Stamps’ stamp set named, Sweet Surprise. It’s such a large cupcake image that can be the main focal point of a card, that is what I wanted to do today.

To add a little something extra to it, I decided to make this cupcake into a shaker card. I easily did this by stamping the image, in my stamp platform, twice so they would be in the same place. Since the frosting space was so large, I decided to fussy cut in the interior of one of the panels. For that particular panel, I added acetate to create the shaker window. For the second panel, I decided that I wanted to color it in rainbow.

Additionally, I needed to ground the cupcake image so I colored up the “ground” by creating a wooden table underneath it. When I finished up my color, I stamped out the large sentiment right on top of the cupcake.

To tie in the rainbow from the cupcake frosting, I trimmed down the panel just a little bit so I could have rainbow colors peeking on the top and bottom of the finished card panel.

Although this is such a simple stamp set, I love how easy it is to create a card around this set.

Thanks for stopping by! Come back soon!
