Stretch Your Stamps…Add A Curve

Adding a little curve to sentiment stamps is a great way to stretch your stamps and create a new look! And I have a little trick I use to shape clear sentiment stamps to fit perfectly around a curve!

Start by creating the rounded background. For this card I used a circle stencil off the edge of the cardstock panel, ink blended pink & blue inks for the perfect purple and added glimmer paste on top.

Then I created the curved sentiment in a few easy steps…

1. Place card panel (when ink & glimmer paste are dry) into stamp positioning tool like the MISTI.

2. With low-tack adhesive, apply a circle the same size as on the panel to the outside lid of the MISTI. I used a stencil set that had both the positive and negative but a circle die cut works well or even a hand cut circle because the edges don’t need to be perfect.

3. Use circle on MISTI lid as a guide to gently curve the sentiment stamp.

4. Stamp! I generally like to lay a piece of acetate over my card panel and stamp that first to check that I’ve nailed the positioning. Then I can shift the stamp if necessary and stamp again!
