Round Birthday Cake Card

Hello, Trinity friends and happy Thursday!! I can’t believe this week is almost over!! Brenda here with a round birthday cake card featuring the new Cake Top Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies!! This set works with the Circle Shaped Card Dies to create a fun and unusual circle shaped card!! Let’s get started!

I started by stamping the large cake frosting image from the Cake Top Stamp Set onto white cardstock with pale pink ink. I colored it with Copic markers and colored pencils, then used the Coordinating Die to cut it out.

Next, I stamped the smaller frosting pattern and the sentiment, also from the Cake Top Stamp Set, onto white cardstock with dark pink ink. The sentiment was cut out with their Coordinating Dies and the frosting was cut out with a die from the Clean Cut Layers Circle Set B Die Set.

I wanted to create a feminine floral cake, so I went to my stash to find some small florals. I found exactly what I was looking for in the Wildflower Clippings and Foliage Frame Slimline die sets. They were die-cut from green and two colors of pink cardstock.

The Circle Shaped Card Dies was die-cut from heavyweight white cardstock. It was folded in half and reinforced with a teflon tool.

I die-cut the eighth largest die in the Clean Cut Layers Circle Set A Die Set from the lighter pink cardstock and adhered it to the card base. The scalloped circle die-cut was adhered with liquid glue.

The top circle and the sentiment were both popped up with foam adhesive. The leaves and flowers were arranged and adhered with liquid glue.

Honey Bubbles Embellishments were added to the centers of the flowers with a Trinity Pickup Stick to finish off the card.

I LOVE how this turned out!! The circle shape is a bit unexpected!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great day and I’ll see you next week!!

Brenda
