Roller Skating Unicorns
Hello Friends, Waleska from craftinglovew here, to share with you a super fun card with the new stamp set Let the Good Times Roll. The first time I saw this cute unicorn I had the idea of creating a Rolling Stakating Rink and finally had the time to do it… I hope you like my little fun scene tutorial today.
CARD DETAILS:
To start this fun scene I did the galaxy background. I cut a slimeline white card base with the largest stitched card panels and windows, I used oxide inks to create a galaxy background in colors wilted violet, carved pumpkin, twisted citron, squeezed lemonade and black soot. I create the galaxy look with lots of water splashes and white acrilic paint splashes too. I googled rolling staking rinks and I got all kinds of fun ideas for backgrounds but my favorite idea was a space theme.
I cut another slimline panel with kraft cardstock to create the wood floor . To create this wood look I did a technique I learned a long time ago, all what you do is on the kraft cardstock use your score board and score lines along your cardstock, they can be any measure but I like every 1/2 inch. After that on the raised lines you swipe a small Distress ink cube on the up and down edges of the panel, I used Rusty Hinge and Vintage photo distress inks and Voila!! You have a very realistic wood look on your card!
I adhere the wood floor to the galaxy panel to create the Rolling Skate Rink. I colored the unicorns with copic markers in rainbow colors and I handcut them the skates are a different stamp image but all you have to do is stamp them and adhere them to the unicorns. I also used the planets and stars from the Otter Space stamp set. The word magical comes on the same let the good times roll set. To finish the card I added some Crystalized Unicorn Tear gems and I adhere the entire panel to a purple card base.
I hope you liked my card today and be inspired to create some fun rolling skating scenes!
