Happy Thanksgiving Slimline Card

Happy Friday!! I hope those of you in the US who observe Labor Day have some fun plans for the weekend!!

Labor Day signals the end of summer and the beginning of fall to me. Although the temperatures haven’t begun to cool and the leaves haven’t changed in the Midwest, I begin to look forward to autumn and winter projects!! I have a Thanksgiving card to share with you today!! Let’s get to it!

I began by stamping the leaves and sentiment from the Autumn Impressions Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Mustard Seed, Ripe Persimmon, Abandoned Coral and Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide Inks. I “pounced” the ink onto the stamps with foam daubers and stamped them repeatedly with the Misti until I got the blended result that I liked.

Next, I die cut the images with the Autumn Impressions Coordinating Dies and a scalloped rectangle using a die from the Slimline Envelope Builder Die Set.

Using the same Distress Oxide Ink colors, I ink-blended the frame and splattered diluted ink onto a white slimline card base.

The frame and leaves were adhered to the card base with liquid adhesive.

I die-cut the sentiment three more times from plain white cardstock and adhered it behind the stamped one. It was added to the center of the card and I was finished!!

I really love the way these ink colors blended together on these leaves!! It just screams FALL to me!!

Thanks so much for spending a bit of your day with me!! Wishing you a very happy weekend!!

Brenda
