Creating Two For One Cards With the Christmas Tree Cut Out Die

Hi everyone!

Ilina here and happy Tuesday! Today I am sharing a card and a tag that I created using one background and the Christmas Tree Cut out die.

To make both the card and the tag  start by ink blending Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina distress oxide inks on a A2 card stock piece. Once you are satisfied with the look splash some water, white distress pain and gold watercolor paint to give the background more interest and more festive look. Set aside to dry.

Once it was completely dry, trim the panel to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and die cut the tree. Save all the pieces.

Cut a piece of white card stock same size as the die cut panel ( 4″ x 5 1/4″) and trace the tree panels using pencil. You will use this as a guideline to adhere baubles. I used the following baubles: Gorgeous Golden, Something New, Forest Fern Satin, Pearly Pink, Mirrored Mint, Lipstick Red Satin and Bronzed Brown Satin Baubles embellishments.

Adhere the baubles in each section using strong liquid adhesive and let it dry.

Adhere the die cut panel on top using foam tape. Stamp sentiment from the Simply Sentimental Set and emboss in gold. Die cut the Happy using the coordinating die and trim the “holidays” into a thin strip. Repeat twice.

Die cut one of the tags from the Slimline tags die set. and adhere the “leftovers” from cutting the ink blended panel using foam tape.

Add the sentiments to both tag and card.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope you have an amazing day!
