Catching Snowflakes

Hello everyone! Welcome!  This is Shanna here today from Caffeinated Craftiness with a wintery cards featuring the adorable new set from Trinity Stamp Company, Have an Ice Day.

I love winter cards!  This card was no exception.  I started by stamping my cute polar bear from the Have an Ice Day stamp set onto bristol cardstock and then watercolored him with my Zig real brush markers.  I die cut him out with the coordinating dies and set him aside to work on my background.

I pulled a piece of plaid patterned paper from my stash, an old Recollections pad I believe, and stenciled over it with a snowflake stencil and Ranger texture paste.  I love how this looked, the mixed media vibe makes me so happy!  After that was dry, I layered up my image, and popped the polar bear up with foam tape.

My finishing touch was a trio of gemmed snowflake stickers, with the polar bear “catching” one!  How cute is that!?!

As you can tell, I did not add a sentiment on the card….I couldn’t decide, so I thought I would let YOU!  I created a poll in the Trinity stamps | imagination, inspiration, & conversation Facebook group and would truly love for you to head over there and vote for your favorite sentiment from the Season’s Greetings stamp set.  After the poll closes, I will add the sentiment and post a new picture!  Thanks for helping a girl through her creative block!
